It's time for Patrick to go to daycare.
We wanted a private nursery, for his safety and our peace, but somehow I knew we couldn't find and get a place to a good state nursery.
How we chose the private nursery
If you think that in a private nursery you can find a room from one day to the next, this is not the case. Honestly, I don't know what it was like before, but now it's hard to find available places. After asking other parents for their opinion on some of the nurseries that caught my attention, we also searched online in groups and we all went to see the nurseries. If I remember correctly, I went to 5 nurseries, each with pluses and minuses.
But, fortunately, I found one with more pluses, like they have a grass yard, they take the children out every day, the ladies are very involved, many development activities, but also creative ones, etc.
The first week I stayed with him, until he fell asleep. Then he was ill for a week and a half, after which he entered the program alone, asleep and taken immediately afterwards. The first week after the short holiday was more difficult, he was upset, growled and did not want to do anything, then the next two weeks he was more receptive, but still parting was with a lot of crying and screams, and at home he did not want to hear or see anything related to the nursery. Slowly - slowly he didn't cry when we left him, he told us what he was doing there, he was looking at pictures with the other children. Until one day when he caused a mega scandal that I came to pick him up too early, then I talked to him and decided that I would pick him up when I saw him standing by the door and so I made from that day.
Only after 2 months can I say that the accommodation has ended in the true sense. It was neither the worst nor the best, it's good that it passed and now we know it was the best choice.
After 5 months of attempts, states, feelings and many illnesses, at first more aggressive, now more and more light and short, the nursery is like a second home for him.
I forgot to mention that Patrick entered the community exactly in the month in which he turned 2 years old.
How was your accommodation?
