Easter Sweet Bread

My first Easter is in full swing, so I'm staying home with mom and dad.


It's time for moms and dads to make the famous cakes, we'll see what those will be. I understood that she used Mrs. Jamila's recipe for Moldovan cake with scalded dough. As with the coloring of the eggs, I fell asleep, so I asked my dad to put me in the crib. I know what they did next and I'll tell you.


Step 1 - Prepare the necessary ones


I caught a little here too, because I hadn't fallen asleep. Dough ingredients:

250 g sugar 1 kg flour (for cake) 450 ml of milk 8 yolks 100 g melted butter 100 ml oil 40 g of fresh yeast the peel of a lemon 1 teaspoon lemon essence 1 teaspoon vanilla essence salt

Cream ingredients:

150 g powdered sugar 200 g ground walnuts 30 g of cocoa 4 egg whites



Step 2 - Preparation maia


He put 100 g of flour and 200 g of boiling milk, then mixed and left to cool, then crumbled the yeast in that composition, then added a tablespoon of sugar and mixed very well. He added another 50 g of milk, which was lukewarm, and mixed it well with a whisk, after which he let it rise for 25 minutes.


Step 3 - Prepare the dough


After the mayonnaise has risen, add the sugar, the yolks, all the flour, the lemon peel, the essences (lemon and vanilla) and the salt. And it started to knead, added the remaining milk lightly, lightly and continued to knead until it became dough.

He continued to knead by adding the oil little by little and then added the melted butter, lasting about 40 minutes. Tip & trick from Patty: if it still sticks after you're done with the butter, add a little more flour and oil, continuing to knead (until it sticks). Leave to rise for about 1 - 1 hour and a half.


Step 4 - Filling


He added walnuts, cocoa, powdered sugar and mixed, added the egg whites and continued to stir until creamy.


Step 5 - Continue dough preparation


Tip & trick from Patty: don't forget to turn on the oven (to be warm for cakes). After the dough doubled in volume, Mommy greased the top with a little oil and overturned that large ball of dough, then divided it into four smaller equal balls. He handed them out one by one and filled them. Then he took two filled strips and braided them. Then he put them in the tray.

Then he greased them with a beaten egg and put sugar on them.


Step 5 - Baking


Put them in the preheated oven at 160 degrees for about 80 minutes. After 10 minutes - picture 1 After 30 minutes - picture 2 After 1 hour and 15 minutes - picture 3
